Kamoa Copper S.A. effectue un paiement de 644,301.52 $ en faveur du Développement des communauté en RDC

KOLWEZI, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO, 26 juillet, 2023 – Kamoa Copper S.A. a effectué un versement de 644 301,52 dollars américains à la disposition des communautés locales, par l’intermédiaire d’un organisme spécialisé, pour financer des projets de développement communautaire. Ce montant correspond à un premier versement de 10% de la dotation de 0,3% du chiffre d’affaires de la société pour l’exercice 2022, conformément aux lois et règlementation minière de la République Démocratique du Congo. La décision de payer 10% du montant total a été prise après l’approbation du ministère des Mines.

Kamoa Copper S.A. reste engagée à contribuer au développement de la communauté et a donc pris les dispositions nécessaires pour payer les 90% restants de 0,3% de son chiffre d’affaires pour l’année 2022, pour paiement avant la fin de 2023.

La dotation sera entièrement versée à l’organisme spécialisé de Kamoa Copper S.A. – DOT KAMOA, qui est l’entité chargée de gérer et de superviser la façon dont la dotation sera dépensée pour des projets d’amélioration de la communauté.

Kamoa Copper S.A. has made a payment of US $ 644,301.52 available to local communities, through a specialized body, to fund community development projects. This amount corresponds to an initial payment of 10% of the endowment of the 0.3% of the company’s turnover for the 2022 financial year, in accordance with the mining laws and regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The decision to pay 10% of the total amount was taken after the approval from the ministry of Mines.

Kamoa Copper S.A. remains committed to contribute to community development and therefore has made the necessary provision to pay the remaining 90% of 0.3% of its turnover for the year 2022, for payment before the end of 2023.

The endowment will be fully paid to Kamoa Copper S.A.’s specialized body – DOT KAMOA. This entity is responsible for managing and overseeing how the endowment will be spent on community improvement projects.
