Kamoa Copper S.A. verse une dotation de 0,3 % de son chiffre d’affaires annuel de 2,49 millions de dollars en 2021 en faveur des projets de développement communautaire.
KOLWEZI, REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO, 23 DECEMBRE , 2022 –
Kamoa Copper S.A. a mis à la disposition des communautés locales, par l’intermédiaire d’un organisme spécialisé, un montant de 2 493 360,00 dollars américains pour financer des projets de développement communautaire. Ce montant correspond à 0,3% du chiffre d’affaires de la société pour l’exercice 2021, conformément aux lois et règlementations minières de la République Démocratique du Congo.
La dotation a été intégralement versée à l’organisme spécialisé de Kamoa Copper S.A. – DOT KAMOA – le 20 décembre 2022. Cette entité est chargée de superviser et de gérer la façon dont la dotation sera utilisée pour des projets de développement communautaire.
Dans les comptes de la société, Kamoa Copper S.A. a constitué une provision supplémentaire de 0,3 % de son chiffre d’affaires de l’année 2022, à verser avant la fin de l’année 2023.
Kamoa Copper S.A. has made an amount of US $ 2,493,360.00 available to local communities, through a specialised body, to fund community development projects. This amount corresponds to 0.3% of the company’s turnover for the 2021 financial year, in accordance with the mining laws and regulations of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The endowment was fully paid to Kamoa Copper S.A.’s specialised body – DOT KAMOA – on 20 December 2022. This entity is responsible for overseeing and managing how the endowment will be spent on community development projects.
In the company’s accounts, Kamoa Copper S.A. has made an additional provision of 0.3% of its turnover for the year 2022, for payment before the end of 2023.
