Mwilu Early Childhood Development Centre Opens

It is with great joy that we announce the official opening of the Mwilu Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD).

The Centre was opened by the Lualaba Provincial Minister of Education, Kantenga Kapenda Alain.

Mwilu ECD is located in Cite’ Musoka Community and is one of two Early Childhood Development Centre’s supported by Kamoa to facilitate socio-economic development within the communities in which it operates.

The Centre can accommodate a total of 80 learners between the ages of three to five years young, attending from October 2022. Learners will be divided into two classrooms where they will develop a variety of skills including Language and Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts and Crafts as well as Health and Physical education.

Research shows that children under the age of 5 years are most receptive to learning. More than 85% of a child’s brain is formed during this period. Early childhood development is therefore essential for young minds to endow the youth with the necessary skills to triumph to the best of their ability.
