The official handover ceremony took place in the presence of representatives from the Lualaba Provincial Ministry of Health, the Representative of the Chief of Luilu Sector, the Chief of the Mwilu group, and local community leaders.
According to IMAWorldHealth, access to primary healthcare in rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) remains a significant challenge, mainly due to the lack of infrastructure and medical equipment, as well as the long distances required to reach healthcare centers, making it difficult for rural populations to access care.
These four health centers, built and equipped by Kamoa, aim to improve the daily lives of these communities and demonstrate our commitment to building resilient communities. “This is a notable achievement, and with these facilities, we hope to provide easy access to essential medical care in response to the needs of families in the region,” said Dr. Guy, Kamoa Copper representative. He added that “the enthusiasm and dialogue we share with local communities motivate us to continue and do even more.”
Kamoa Copper remains committed to improving the lives of neighboring communities and building a healthier future for all!
