Dodo Mbay, Executive Director of Concentrator at Kamoa Copper, brings over 30 years of expertise as a Copper and Cobalt Metallurgist within the mining industry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He joined Kamoa Copper in 2021 as a Managerial Leader III and quickly advanced to his current role, underscoring his leadership in processing operations. Dodo’s career began in 2004 as a Production Manager and Shift Engineer, progressing to key roles such as General Superintendent of Processing Operations and Process Plant Superintendent.
With extensive practical experience in copper and cobalt metallurgy, Dodo has honed his skills across numerous roles, focusing on operational excellence in concentrator management. His technical background and commitment to continuous improvement have been instrumental in his leadership within the DRC’s mining sector.
As Executive Director, Concentrator, Dodo oversees the concentrator operations at Kamoa Copper, focusing on optimising copper processing to support the company’s production goals. His experience as both Concentrator Manager and General Manager of Concentrator has equipped him to lead large-scale metallurgical operations, contributing significantly to Kamoa Copper’s productivity and efficiency.
