Local, provincial, and national public administrations play a central role in Kamoa Copper’s approach to dialogue and governance. As a major operator in the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the company implements initiatives to strengthen institutional exchanges through official channels, site visits, and consultation meetings, with a focus on transparency and efficiency.

These interactions not only promote better mutual understanding but also integrate the expectations of public authorities and the community into decision-making processes. In this context, the company had the honour of receiving an official visit from the Director General of DGRAD (General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, State Property and Participation Revenues), Mr. Etienne Utshudi, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials from this institution. The Director General and his delegation had the opportunity to visit the site, the underground mine, and the training facilities before proceeding to the Kamoa Centre of Excellence and concluding with a meeting with the members of the Kamoa Copper SA Management Committee.

Impressed by the visit, the DG of DGRAD commended Kamoa Copper SA for its exemplary fiscal citizenship and presented the company as one of DGRAD’s excellent partners, contributing effectively to the achievement of the financial agency’s assignments in the province.

According to Ms. Audrey Mbwinga, Director of Communications at Kamoa Copper SA, this visit reflects the company’s commitment to collaborating with national institutions in a spirit of openness, transparency, and corporate citizenship, to support the Congolese State in its socio-economic development objectives.
