At Kamoa Copper, we believe in the power of education to transform lives. Our adult literacy program, now in its fourth edition since 2021, has made a significant impact in ten communities surrounding our operations.
In collaboration with Alfa Congo, our program, which includes approximately 300 learners, is helping to restore dignity and pride where hope was once lost.
Program Highlights: The courses are held in Samukoko, Muvunda, Kaponda 2, Mupenda 1 & 2, Kakunta, Djosayi, Wiri & Kaganso, Kyamadingi, Mwilu & Konga, and Kolanga. With 30 learners per class, the courses are open to anyone who is illiterate. Sessions last for 2 hours, three times a week, between 14:00 and 18:00.
This program contributes to reducing unemployment in the DRC, as graduates have been able to secure jobs at Kamoa and in various local businesses. Join us in celebrating the power of literacy and the positive changes it brings to our communities!
